Saki Tozawa

B. 2001, Japan
Saki Tozawa was born in Tokyo. She began violin lessons at the age of seven and has won numerous prizes, including the second prize at the Tibor Varga International Violin Competition and the first prize at the 85th Music Competition of Japan as the youngest prizewinner. Tozawa has already performed as a soloist with several international orchestras such as the Lausanne Chamber Orchestra and the NHK Symphony Orchestra. As a chamber musician, she has given numerous concerts in Japan.

Saki Tozawa studied at the Tokyo University of the Arts with Prof. Natsumi Tamai, took private lessons with Gérard Poulet and has been continuing her studies at the Lübeck University of Music with Prof. Daniel Sepec since October 2021. She took part in masterclasses with Leonidas Kavakos and Vadim Repin. The Beare's International Violin Society (London) is providing Tozawa with a Matteo-Goffriller-violin in cooperation with the violin maker Bunkyo Gakki (Tokyo).
