The cash prizes of the Joseph Joachim Violin Competition
Joseph Joachim Prize: 30,000 Euro
The jury will award the main prize of the competition to one of the three finalists.
Laureate: 10,000 Euro
The three finalists will each receive prize money of 10,000 Euro and may bear the title "Laureate of the Joseph Joachim Violin Competition".
Best interpretation of the commissioned work: 5,000 Euro
The commissioned work will be premiered in the final concerts. The prize will be awarded by the composer of the commissioned work together with the jury among the finalists.
Chamber Music Prize: 3,000 Euro
The members of the Kuss Quartet, which accompanies the semi-finalists, will award a prize for the best chamber music performance.
Audience Award: 2,000 Euro
On the final evening, the audience will be able to choose the winner.
