Rina Tanaka

Born 2002, Japan
Rina Tanaka started to learn the violin at the age of four. At the age of nine, she held her first recital and debuted with the Japan Philharmonic Orchestra. She has won numerous awards such as the first prize at the 3rd International Junior Competition in Chiba or the first prize at the 7th Yokohama International Music Competition.

Tanaka is a scholarship holder at the Toho Gakuen College of Music. She studied violin with Tsugio Tokunaga, Kyoko Takezawa and Ayumu Sasaki and viola with Ryo Sasaki. She has already participated in masterclasses with Pavel Vernikov, Cho-Liang Lin, Lucie Robert and other renowned artists.

Tanaka performed in Prague, Weimar, Sion, Tokyo, Miyazaki and Kanazawa. She has also performed at various chamber music concerts, including the chamber music concert of the Toho Gakuen College of Music.
