Nicholas Hammel

Nicholas Hammel began his music studies at the University of Texas in Austin with Sandy Yamamoto. He then deepened his studies at the renowned New England Conservatory. He received valuable impulses in master classes from outstanding artists such as Nathan Cole, Philip Setzer and Chee-Yun Kim.

His already impressive orchestral experience includes positions as guest concertmaster of the Atlantic Symphony Orchestra and concertmaster of the New England Conservatory Chamber Orchestra. He has also played in the Austin Symphony Orchestra and the East Coast Chamber Orchestra.

As a soloist, Nicholas Hammel has thrilled audiences with performances of major works such as Vivaldi's "Four Seasons" and Brahms' Violin Concerto. He has performed with orchestras such as the Central Texas Medical Orchestra, the Richardson Symphony Orchestra and the Austin Civic Orchestra.
