Kyumin Park

Born 1996, Republic of Korea
Kyumin Park first studied at the renowned New England Conservatory of Music. He is currently deepening his studies at the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler Berlin. His teachers include Antje Weithaas and Donald Weilerstein. Park has taken part in masterclasses with Miriam Fried, Pamela Frank and Robert Levin, among others.

He has been awarded numerous prizes, including second prize at the 2019 Max Rostal International Music Competition and second prize at the 2018 International Music Competition Harbin, China.

Kyumin Park is part of the Kallaci String Quartet. As a soloist, he has performed with orchestras such as the Cleveland Orchestra, the Stuttgarter Kammerorchester and the NEC Philharmonia in Boston and has given recitals in prestigious concert halls such as the Konzerthaus Berlin. He plays a Dominicus Montagnana violin from 1740, which has been given to him by the Kumho Asiana Cultural Foundation.
