Hyein Koo

Hyein Koo began her artistic education in South Korea. She took lessons with Ronald Copes, Ju-young Baek and Stefan Pi Jackiw, among others. Her musical education was complemented by master classes with renowned artists such as Augustin Hadelich and Sarah Chang. She is currently studying at the Juilliard School in New York.

Hyein Koo has already played in various orchestras, including the Juilliard Orchestra and the Aspen Music Festival Orchestra, where she impressed as a scholarship holder. In South Korea, she has played in the Seoul National University Symphony Orchestra and was concertmaster of the Seoul Arts High School Orchestra.

She was remarkably successful in competitions, including several first prizes at competitions in South Korea, such as the CBS Music Competition, the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra Competition and the Eumyoun Music Competition. Her outstanding performances have earned her appearances at prestigious concerts such as the Juilliard Chamber Concert and the HKGNA Winner's Concert.
