Gaeun Kim

Gaeun Kim, born in Seoul, began playing the violin at the age of seven and graduated from the Academy for Gifted Students at the Seoul Arts Center. She studies with violinists Sungsic Yang and Minjeong Suh.

Kim has won numerous competitions, including second prize at the 5th Zhuhai International Mozart Competition 2023, Grand Prize at the New Jersey Sinfonietta Korean Young Artists Music Competition 2023 and second prize at the 7th Leonid Kogan Competition 2023. She has won several national competitions in Korea, including first prize at the Dong-A Junior Music Competition.

Her concert appearances include recitals at the Laeiszhalle in Hamburg and the Kumho Art Center in Seoul. She has performed at the Nagano International Music Festival in Japan and the International Documentary Film Festival.
