Alexandra Weissbecker

B. 2001, Germany
Alexandra Weissbecker was born in Marburg. She began her musical training at the age of four with Prof. Julia Vivat at the Kazan Special Music School in Russia. After graduating from school in 2019, she continued her education at the Mozarteum Salzburg with Prof. Pierre Amoyal. Since 2022 she has been a student at the Hanns Eisler School of Music Berlin in the class of Prof. Stephan Picard.

She has taken part in masterclasses with Boris Kuschnir, Alexander Vinnitsky and other great musicians. Alexandra Weissbecker has won prizes at numerous competitions. She won the first prize at the International Anton Rubinstein Competition 2020 and, together with the EMCY special prize, the first prize at the 10th International Louis Spohr Competition 2022.

Weissbecker has performed with the Jena Philharmonic Orchestra, the Berlin Free Orchestra and the State Symphony Orchestra of the Republic of Tatarstan, among others. She plays on a violin by Nicolò Gagliano (1769), which is on generous loan to her from the Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben.
