Alexander Won-Ho Kim
Born 1992, Republic of Korea
Alexander Won-Ho Kim was born in Seoul and grew up in Münster and Zurich. From 2013 to 2022, he studied at the Hanns Eisler Academy of Music in Berlin with Antje Weithaas. From 2019 to 2023, he was also a student at the Haute École de Musique de Lausanne with Janine Jansen.
In 2012, he won the Rising Star Award from the Initiativkreis Mönchengladbach and the European Cultural Foundation EUROMUSICALE. In 2014 he was a finalist at the Tonali Grand Prix. In 2019, he won the fourth prize at the International Max Rostal Violin Competition in Berlin.
Alexander Won-Ho Kim has already performed as a soloist with orchestras such as the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen, the Orchestre de Chambre de Lausanne and the Munich Chamber Orchestra. As a passionate chamber musician, he has already performed at the Rheingau Music Festival, the Heidelberger Frühling and the International Chamber Music Festival Utrecht, among others.
