Yukari Ohno
Born 1995, Japan
Yukari Ohno was born in Japan. She received her first violin lessons when she was two years old. She graduated as the best student in the violin class at Toho Gakuen High School of Music and then completed her soloist diploma studies with Prof. Akiko Tatsumi at Toho-Gakuen College of Music. She is currently studying at the Music and Arts Private University of the City of Vienna with Prof. Boris Kuschnir.
She has won numerous prizes at both national and international competitions, including the Valsesia Musica International Competition in Italy, the Vasco Abadijev International Violin Competition in Bulgaria and the International Queen Sophie Charlotte Violin Competition in Germany. In 2021, she won the prestigious first prize at the Princess Astrid International Music Competition in Norway. As a soloist and chamber musician, she has performed several times at the Vienna Musikverein, Vienna Konzerthaus, Mozarthaus and MuTh.
