Hannah Tam

Born 2005, Hong Kong
Hannah Tam has been studying at the Curtis Institute of Music since 2018 under the guidance of Ida Kavafian. She has received numerous awards, including the second prize at the Johanson International Competition 2022, the third prize and the audience prize in the Junior Division of the Menuhin Competition 2021 as well as the audience prize at the Montreal International Violin Competition "Mini Violini" 2019.

Her career includes performances with renowned orchestras such as the Kansas City Orchestra, the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra and the Salzburg Chamber Orchestra. Tam has performed in major concert halls worldwide and participated in festivals such as the Kronberg Festival, the Kuhmo Chamber Music Festival and the La Jolla Festival. Hannah Tam is a scholarship holder of the Demeng Charity Foundation and plays a Giovanni Francesco Pressenda violin made in 1826.
