The Managing Director of the ›Joseph Joachim International Violin Competition Hannover‹, Tanja Wohlfeil, has been a part of the competition since 2006. During her training in administration management, she experienced the competition activities firsthand as an intern, lending her knowledge and abilities in order to switch the competition to digital ticketing. In 2009, she was in charge of organizing the competition’s administration, ticketing, personnel and event management. Since then, Tanja Wohlfeil has been a full employee of the Stiftung Niedersachsen. In addition to the competition organization, she is in charge of information technology matters and internal administrative duties.
Her love for music and passion to structure and manage complex tasks have been with Tanja Wohlfeil from the beginning. Between 1996 and 2003, she held leading positions in several ticket sales companies. Between 1996 and 1999, she studied elementary and secondary general education in the subjects music, art and mathematics. Since 2000, she has been working for the ›Festwochen Herrenhausen‹, the coordination of which she took over in 2007, until she entered her current position at the Stiftung Niedersachsen in 2009. In her free time, Tanja Wohlfeil sings in a women’s choir and plays in an entertainment orchestra.
