The Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media generously make their facilities available for the duration of the competition, to give the young violinists and their piano accompanists enough time and opportunity for their final preparations before performing. In addition, concerts in the preliminary and semifinal rounds are taking place in the university’s Richard Jakoby Hall.
NDR (North German Broadcasting) supports the competition on several levels. Not only does it offer the location to enable performances with a full orchestra, but it also provides the use of the Radio Philharmonic Orchestra. In addition, the radio station NDR Kultur broadcasts the competition across the country.
The Lower Saxony State Orchestra always provides the framework for a brilliant opening concert that once again grants the First Prize Winner the stage to present themself. This show puts the audience, city and country in the mood for two exciting weeks that will launch at least one other artist of international repute into the limelight.
