In order to make the prize list of the already greatest-remunerating competition in the world even more attractive, the Fritz Behrens-Foundation loans a Giovanni Battista Guadagnini violin (handcrafted approx. 1765 in Parma, Italy) to the First Prize Winner for three years until the next competition. Additionally to this, Naxos will produce a CD recording with worldwide distribution for the winner, while Konzertdirektion Schmid will advise him or her and will assist the First Prize Winner with organizing their first concerts.
